Oklahoma — Gaming is Rezilience is excited to announce the inaugural Rez Summer Games, a virtual gaming event created to celebrate Indigenous gamers, highlight Indigenous-made video games, and build a space where community and culture meet gaming. The event, scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, is open to all Indigenous gamers aged 18 and above from Turtle Island and beyond.

This year’s event will feature casual tournaments in Fortnite and Fall Guys, promising plenty of laughs, competition, and most importantly, community connection. Alongside gameplay, attendees can look forward to giveaways, special guests, and a showcase of Indigenous video games that reflect our stories, identities, and creativity, ensuring everyone feels engaged and involved.

“Rez Summer Games is about creating a space where Indigenous people can come together, play, and be seen,” said Angee Noel, founder of Gaming is Rezilience. “It’s fun, it’s affirming, and it’s about celebrating who we are through games and community.”

Registration opens Friday, June 6. To register, please visit our website and complete the registration form.

Participation is free, and players of all skill levels are welcome to join.

In addition to the tournament, Gaming is Rezilience is inviting community members and organizations to sponsor the event. Sponsors will help support an event that uplifts Indigenous voices and provides a welcoming space for connection, play, and representation. In return, sponsors will have the opportunity for logo placements and shout-outs during the event.
