On August 21, 2025, the Oklahoma City Thunder revealed the design for its 2025-26 Nike NBA City Edition Uniform that pays tribute to the Indigenous people and cultures of Oklahoma. The uniform, along with a matching City Edition court, will debut Nov. 19 during Native American Heritage Night when the Thunder face the Sacramento Kings at Paycom Center.

The uniform carries layers of meaning. At the center of the jersey, bold geometric lines lock together to shape “OKC,” a visual reminder of strength and unity. The design pulls from the Oklahoma River, the current that cuts through the city and ties its north and south sides together. Across the jersey, water-like teeth bridge its two halves, carrying that sense of connection forward.

The waistband of the shorts carry a pattern of expanding squares, drawn from ceremonial regalia and the way our communities continue to grow and thrive. On the right leg of the shorts, a turtle rests quietly in the design, its circular shell marked with lines that echo the medicine wheel and the bonds of community. The arrows and squares extend outward toward Oklahoma City, pointing to the four sacred directions.

Running across the shoulders and down the side of the shorts are sunset-colored sashes, a nod to resilience and shared identity. Along the sides, eleven stars mark the histories and teachings that have been carried from one generation to the next.

Every detail connects back to the people whose histories and futures are written into this place. This design serves as a subtle reminder to fans whose lands they stand on, whose lands the Thunder plays on, the Native Nations of Oklahoma who still remain and continue to shape and sustain the state.

The First Americans Museum will host a short exhibit of the uniform from August 21 through September 5, giving fans a closer look and a chance to win City Edition gear. Starting September 6, the uniform will be displayed digitally through November, aligning with Native American Heritage Month.

The design goes beyond one game. Beginning December 5, every Friday home game will transform into a City Nights event, with the Thunder wearing the new uniform and taking the floor on a specially designed City Edition court.

Fans can grab the City Edition collection starting November 11, with updates at okcthunder.com/city.
